Walking on Sunshine

With the kids grown and the rhythm of the house changing, this project marks the beginning of a new chapter for our clients. Becoming empty nesters wasn’t about celebration as much as adjustment, taking a pause, reassessing how the home functions, and redefining what it means to live there now. They were ready to slowly shift the focus back to themselves, without losing the warmth and history that had always made the house feel like home.

We approached the design with that transition in mind, creating spaces that feel lighter and more open, yet grounded and familiar. The home was reworked to support quieter mornings, new routines, and gatherings that feel more personal and unhurried. Every decision was guided by how they want to live in this next phase, comfortable, and deeply connected to their space.

The result is a home that feels refreshed and optimistic. A place that honors where they’ve been while making room for what’s ahead, filled with warmth, clarity, and a renewed sense of purpose as they step into this next season of life.
